The ladies of Bliss Events learned about wedding florals from Paula Rae Anderson with Rae Florae. They met on a Sunday afternoon and had hors d’oeuvres and champagne cocktails, then started the floral fun! Paula & Rachel decided that the group should learn a few specific things that could possibly be very real scenarios at weddings, first they learned how to deconstruct a bouquet then make it into two bouquets (in case a bridesmaid forgets a bouquet and they have to think quick!), then they learned how to use various flower clippings from either a centerpiece, arrangement, or bouquet – to make a boutonniere. Paula demonstrated the best techniques using her personal and professional methods as well as her experience teaching floral classes.
They all had a lot of fun using the various techniques Paula taught us and using our own visions and personalities to make whatever arrangement they wanted. They all gained even more confidence when it comes to florals, and are prepared to make wedding florals in a pinch at any wedding! The afternoon event was captured by Shannon Henry of Studio Carre’ Photographie. What arrangement is your favorite?

I love the eucalyptus leave touches in the two arrangements. It’s becoming one of my favorite additions to floral arrangements and bouquets.
Thank you for the feature!! It was such a lovely day and great learning experience!
What a great idea!!!
Emergency arrangements-how clever!
I love this idea and Shannon’s shots! We’ve been talking about doing a cake tutorial day similar to the floral idea, and I’m so proud of Paula & Rachel for making it happen…!
You can count The Bride Suite ladies in for a cake tutorial day!
The flowers make a difference at a wedding! I’m glad you take this into consideration:)
