The ladies of Bliss Events learned about wedding florals from Paula Rae Anderson with Rae Florae. They met on a Sunday afternoon and had hors d’oeuvres and champagne cocktails, then started the floral fun! Paula & Rachel decided that the group should learn a few specific things that could possibly be very real scenarios at weddings, first they learned how to deconstruct a bouquet then make it into two bouquets (in case a bridesmaid forgets a bouquet and they have to think quick!), then they learned how to use various flower clippings from either a centerpiece, arrangement, or bouquet – to make a boutonniere. Paula demonstrated the best techniques using her personal and professional methods as well as her experience teaching floral classes. They all had a lot of fun using the various techniques Paula taught us and using our own visions and personalities to make whatever arrangement they wanted. They all gained even more confidence when it comes to florals, and are prepared to make wedding florals in a pinch at any wedding! The afternoon event was captured by Shannon Henry of Studio Carre’ Photographie. What arrangement is your favorite?
