For six months, Ann, Alyssa and I poured our hearts into making a magazine (we hope) you’ll love. We went through hundreds of wedding photos, ripped pages from fashion and design magazines, interviewed experts and finally put together 100 editorial pages to inspire many a wedding to come. If you ever wondered where it began, this post is for you! Here’s a glimpse at the things that inspired us for this issue plus some little known facts about each of us.

WE ALMOST DIDN’T CATCH a past vendor listed in a real wedding left from the last issue.
MY FAVORITE FEATURE IS gowns. I love Aaron Feldman’s photography style and it was the perfect contrast to the last shoot.
NO ONE WOULD EVER GUESS the tabletop shoot day was the hottest day in November. It was melting everything including whip cream and frosting.
THIS ISSUE IN ONE WORD: Unique.
2011 IS THE YEAR OF textures. I see people using texture in the flowers and linens and layering. Also romantic dresses, fabrics and hair, accessories.
I’M INSPIRED BY…{1} Unique hair pieces, {2} Bold jewelry, {3} Vera Wang’s spring collection, {4} & {5} Romantic heels with ruffles and bows, {6} Glamorous chandelier earrings, {7} and soft neutral modern bouquets.

ON DEADLINE I SNACK ON wintergreen lifesavers.
WE ALMOST DIDN’T CATCH Nicole Miller’s name left in the Table of Contents.
MY FAVORITE FEATURE IS Escapes as I love weekends filled with great food, spa treatments, fine wine and best friends.
NO ONE WOULD EVER GUESS that I got married in Costa Rica with monkeys in the trees around us.
THIS ISSUE IN ONE WORD: Scintillating.
2011 IS THE YEAR OF renaissance and grace.
