Rebecca and Greg’s wedding at the Prado is full of soft, romantic details and plenty of glamour.
The Story: After four years of dating, Greg Zweig readied to pop the question to his girlfriend Rebecca Ball, but he wanted it to be a
grand surprise. So when she jetted to Hawaii for her family’s annual trip, little did she know that Greg, who was supposedly in San Francisco, was secretly following her with a ring in his pocket.
One evening, Rebecca’s sister, feigning an argument with her husband, asked her to go on a beach walk. Suddenly, a sweet-smelling tuberose lei slipped over Rebecca’s head from behind. She turned, and there stood Greg. “I was in shock. He led me to a gazebo decorated with plumeria flowers, got on one knee and said, ‘Rebecca, will you give me your forever?’”
After a big “yes” and lots of happy tears, Rebecca discovered her brother-in-law had been filming from the bushes and that her entire family was watching from their balcony above. “I wanted the proposal spot to be a place where we could always return,” explains Greg.
“It was a night that I will never forget, and that he chose such a meaningful place confirmed even more that I found the love of my life,” gushes Rebecca.
When it came to planning the wedding, Greg deferred to Rebecca, who happened to be a wedding designer at White Wedding Day Events. “Being that Rebecca had been planning her wedding since she was little, I knew I was just along for the ride,” laughs Greg. Rebecca and her best friend, wedding designer Bradley Dean Snyder, went to town, creating her childhood dream wedding.
