The ladies of Las Patronas distributed grant checks to the 11 charitable organizations benefiting from their record-breaking 2007 Jewel Ball, “ARTrageous,” which raised more than $1.1 million. Attendees of the Major Beneficiaries Luncheon, held at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, were welcomed by Las Patronas president Barbara Mulligan, who introduced 2007 Jewel Ball chair Kathryn Stephens and cochairs Lydia McNeil and Caroline Nierenberg. Former Las Patronas president Terry Cooper presented the 2007 Spirit of Giving Award to Dunn-Edwards Paints.
