A Magical Weekend

Ok I’m back! It’s been a very busy few weeks (and I have a feeling it’s only going to get worse). I’m sorry for not posting, I could give you a bunch of legit excuses, but I have a lot to tell you about so here we go!
A couple weekends ago I, along with 19 of my incredible girlfriends, went to Disneyland for my Bridal Shower/Bachelorette party. Since my friends are spread all over the country we have to do the whole “Bridey Celebration” in one weekend so we aren’t traveling to events every weekend of the year (which seems to be the case anyway.)
So I know your first thought is probably, “Disneyland?!? For a Bachelorette party?!?” And my answer is: Yes! Before you go getting all judgmental on me, Bachelorette parties are just not my thing. I love attending other peoples’ parties but for myself I prefer something much more low key.
My beautiful Matrons of Honor (Katie & Stacie) planned a magical weekend for me and carefully followed my only rules:
#1) No dressing me up (I was ok with wearing my Mrs. Clark Mickey ears for a short while)
#2) NO strippers (which would be a little hard to pull off at Disneyland)
On Friday we woke up as early as we possibly could to get to the park before the crowds arrived. We went on a ton of rides and just enjoyed being kids again. After we had all we could handle of the heat and long lines, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner.
Dinner that evening was at Club 33, which is a private club inside Disneyland and more importantly, the only place in the park that serves alcohol. Dinner was incredible, as was the wine and champagne. And my favorite part was the delectable crème brulee. We left the club and hopped on a few more rides before calling it a night.
The next morning I was escorted to La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney where I met all my girlfriends for a lovely Bridal Shower brunch on their patio. We sipped on mimosas, played games and best of all opened lots of presents!
That night we had a Mexican feast at Tortilla Joes along with pitchers and pitchers of margaritas followed by a Bud Light pajama party back at the hotel. We spent the evening catching up with each other and reminiscing about the good old days when we were young, crazy and partying in Southern California together.
It was such a unique and special weekend. I had the best time ever and I can’t thank my MOHs, bridesmaids and girlfriends enough for making me feel so very special.
So when it comes to your Bachelorette party, keep an open mind. It doesn’t have to be Vegas, tequila shots and strip teases….not that there’s anything wrong with that! See you next week!

I loved how different your bachelorette party was from others. It was one of the best weekends of summer so far :)
