IT IS MY GREAT PLEASURE to introduce you to Exquisite Weddings, the newest publication from San Diego Magazine. When we began creating Exquisite Weddings, we had a distinct vision. We wanted to produce a publication that would cater to the discerning couple with impeccable taste. We sought to cover traditional weddings, renewals of vows, encore weddings and commitment ceremonies. It was our hope to bring all of our readers something no other publication has. So we combed through research, interviewed well-known sources in the industry and put all of it to use in the planning process.
Our dedicated and talented team has put in long hours over the past few months to put together our premiere issue. Art Director Alyssa Holstrom went to the edges of the city to select the perfect components for our Elements pages and fashion spreads. With wedding gowns lining our hallways and photo shoots in upscale locales such as the Ivy Hotel and Tower 23, Alyssa put herself in the position of every bride and selected the finest products and locations she could find.
To make Exquisite Weddings a representation of the most refined and elegant tastes, Editor Kathleen Gurnett put together an advisory board of top experts in the industry. Around a conference room table laden with strawberry scones and coffee cake, their ideas and expertise were woven into features.
We were fortunate to have the support of numerous marketing partners who listened to our vision and collaborated with us to make this a success. With sincere appreciation, we thank them for joining us in this ambitious launch. From flowers and favors to cakes and catering, we have sought out the industry’s absolute best and brought it to you.
